In an act of bravery, Shanna Smith met with her newly enagaged best friend and did the unthinkable — she declined to be in her wedding party, but offered a comparable solution: take a vital organ instead.
“It all happened so fast,” said Smith, who was nervous about turning down the offer. “Buying a dress is bad enough, but months spent in a group chat with my bestie’s other friends? No.”
